Excitement at the Fair-Play Association Award Ceremony in Mardin

The 30th European Fair-Play Association Award Ceremony and Congress will be held in Mardin between October 21-24 with the support of the Mardin Governorship and Mardin Businessman Mehmet Samsa.

The excitement of the giant organization, which will be held for the 30th time this year and will make a worldwide impact, has gripped the Ancient City of Mardi. The excitement of the event, which will be attended by hundreds of guests, including pioneers in the field from Turkey and abroad, has gripped the historical city.

The three-day European Fair-Play Association Award Ceremony and Congress, which will be attended by guests from 41 countries of the world, will be organized under the coordination of well-known Mardin Businessman Mehmet Samsa.

In 1994, it was decided that a fair play organization representing Europe should be established and the European Fair Play Association (EFPM) was established in 1994 with the participation of representatives from 14 European countries.

Today, EFPM, which has representatives from 41 countries, is a Civil Society Organization and its headquarters is in Austria. EFPM, which is managed by 9 executive board members elected from among its members for 4 years, aims to spread fair play and tolerance at the European level.

In this context, EFPM distributes various awards to athletes and sportsmen every year. In the introductory meeting held in Brussels on September 5, 2024, it was announced in the presence of approximately 150 high-level international participants that Mardin will host the award organization between October 21-24.

Noting that a prestigious organization such as the European Fair-Play Association Award Ceremony and Congress will have important reflections on the promotion of Mardin, a city of history, culture and faith, Mardin Governor Tuncay Akkoyun stated that they care about the smooth running of the event, where important guests from around the world will attend, that the guests coming to the ancient city will be hosted in the best way possible and that the voice that will highlight Fair-Play, the unifying spirit of sports, will be spread from Mardin.

FAMOUS FACES WILL TAKE PART IN THE ORGANIZATION

This year, EFPM will give awards to a total of 32 athletes, sportsmen and organizations in various categories, and its award list includes world-famous football players such as Chistoph BAUMGARTNER, as well as names from our country such as Orhan Ayhan and Avni Küpeli. Baumgartner is expected to thank them via video message, and Orhan Ayhan and Avni Küpeli are also expected to attend the event.

40 international participants will be in Mardin on October 21st in the evening. An information meeting will be held at Kasımiye Madrasah on the same day at 13:30 regarding the scope of the event and the program.

On October 22nd, guests will be shown around the historical and touristic places of Mardin until 15:00. It will be held at 16:30 on the terrace of Sabancı Museum.

On October 23, 2024, between 09:30-16:30, a sports congress event with a fair play theme will be held at the Ramada Hotel.

The events, which will be organized by the European Fair Play Association under the sponsorship of Samsa Group, are also supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
