These are Midyat , Omerli, Dargecit, Kızıltepe, Artuqid, Nusaybin, Savur, Yesilli, Kabala, Derik. Sanlıurfa, Batman, Diyarbakır, Siirt are the neighboring cities of Mardin. Mardin has hospitalized to many civilizations such as Assyrian, Persian, Roman, Byzantine ,Artuqid, Seljuk, Ottoman. 

It is a city where different religions and ethnic groups coexist. Communities such as Turks, Kurds, Arabs, and Assyrians live together in harmony. The city reflects the traditions of Islam, Christianity, and Assyrian.
